Kiss the Son (part 3)
The Goal of Scripture is for men to worship the Son.

“I thought the Jews worshipped the father”
I know some Christians will also say in ignorance, “I thought the Jews worshipped the same God as Christians do. I always heard they worshipped the Father, just not the Son.” This statement is evidence of the ignorance most professing Christians have of the Word.
Any Christian with even a modicum of familiarity with the Bible should know it is an absolute lie to say you can worship the Father, but not the Son. A simple read through the Gospel of John would put that lie to rest. I ask those who believe this, Have you never read the Scriptures?
[John 8:17-19] It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.
If they knew the Father, then they should have known and recognized the Son. But, “Ye neither know me, nor my Father.”
[1 John 2:22-23] Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. [ESV]
Those who deny the Father and the Son are Antichrist. Anyone who denies the Father and the Son, by Biblical definition, is Antichrist. Just as there were many antichrists in John’s day, so there are now. Antichrists have existed in every generation. This should make clear that antichrist is not a political concern, but is a doctrinal issue. Stop looking for the Antichrist to come on the scene; for “even now ” there are many, just as John said [1 Jn. 2:18].
John 5:21-23 For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
To honor the Son is to Kiss the Son. However, if you do not honor the Son, you do not honor the Father who sent Him. Remember the lesson from Jesus as Apostle?
[John 6:45] It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to the Son. If the Jews worshipped the Father, it would lead them to worship and honor the Son. Myriads of Jews came to the Father through the Son in the First Century. Those whom He Foreknew come to Him still today.
[John 8:42, 54-55] Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:
55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.
Jesus was sent from the God they professed to know and worship. If they knew God, they would know His Son, Jesus.
[John 10:30] I and my Father are one.
Jesus and His Father cannot be so separated, that you can love and worship one without loving and worshipping the other. Therefore, it is impossible to say you honor the Father without also honoring the Son.
[John 14:6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
The preceding verse is unmistakable. There is no access nor worship of the Father except through His Son, Jesus the Messiah. This one verse should lay to rest the idea that anyone can worship the Father apart from the Son. It is an impossibility.
[John 15:23] He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
From the Jews’ own literature, the Talmud, their hatred of Jesus is palpable. In their writings, they refer to Him as Jesu, which is an acronym, meaning, “May his name and memory be obliterated.” This is just one tiny example of the blasphemies leveled at Jesus in their Talmud. When they blaspheme Jesus, they also blaspheme the Father. Christians believe that at the present moment, Christ is seated at the right hand of God. The Jews believe that at the present moment, Jesus is in hell, boiling in a pool of burning animal feces (Gittin 57a, Talmud). Try squaring that with your Judeo-Christian values.
It should be evident from the sheer weight of Scriptural witness that there is no such thing as loving and worshipping God as Father without loving and worshipping His Son, Jesus Christ. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE!
So if the Pharisaic, Rabbinic Jews do not worship the Father, who do they worship? Who is their Talmudic god? We have already seen that the image of their Talmudic god is a phallus. Who is the real god behind this image? Revelation 2:9 & 3:9 will give you a good clue. This comes from the lips of Christ, Himself. Michael Hoffman notes this about the degradation of Judaism in the First Century,
“With the rejection of their Messiah and the commitment of the formerly oral traditions to writing, these Israelites completely abandoned themselves to a perversion which had once been only a persistent underground stream polluting Israel, but after Christ's crucifixion, emerged as the main ideology of those who refused to accept Jesus as their savior.”
